Tower Hamlets is one of London's most varied boroughs for roofing. Period terraces with pitched slate or tile and original lead work sit alongside post-war estates with large flat roofs, converted warehouses near the river, and newer mixed-use buildings with commercial flat roofs. Each type needs a different approach, so we start with a visit.

On the older residential streets, including much of Bethnal Green, Mile End and Stepney, the usual faults are slipped slates, failed flashings at chimneys and valleys, and gutters or outlets that have blocked or split. We explain what the roof needs and the options before any work is planned, and we say when a roof is in reasonable condition.

Flat roofs are one of the most common repairs on estates and extensions across the borough. Where the surface has worn, we fit GRP Cure It fibreglass, torch-on felt or a liquid system, chosen for the deck, falls and use of the roof. Where a fault is small and defined, a repair is often enough.

For commercial and mixed-use buildings, including premises around Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs, we plan access and timing around how the building is used. A roof condition survey is chargeable (£375 including VAT, with 50% credited against qualifying works) and gives you a written report before major decisions.
